Oak Trees are often portrayed as a slow growing, However, contrary to popular belief, there are several varieties of Oak Trees that grow at medium-to-fast rate. The Overcup, Northern Red, and Scarlett Oaks all grow at a clip of 2 feet per year.  The Pin Oak can even grow up to 3 feet a year.  On the other side of the spectrum, the White Oak is typically a slower growing Oak in its beginning stages, but actually begins to grow quicker with age. The trade off in the beginning, is that the White Oak has a stunning fall color.
